Bedroom Gun Cabinets

I am not sure if this is going to be a long post or short one.  I was thinking, I wonder if anyone makes a gun cabinet for your bedroom?  I mean, most people (ie:  wives) are not going to want a lighted, oak gun cabinet with 10 shotguns in there master bedroom.  Not really the picture of either romance or peaceful relaxation (I don’t even want to entertain the thoughts of people that may disagree with that statement!).

But seriously, I can imagine that there are people that would like to keep their guns close to them at night, but also want to have them secured in a cabinet for safety reasons.  Most people are not going to have a 800 pound steel gun safe in their bedroom closet (maybe if you are a single 20 year old guy you might).  I wondered if there were any gun cabinets for sale that were specifically made for the bedroom.

After doing a short search on Google, I found only one unit that looks like it could work in a bedroom (and your wife would let you get away with).  It is a nice horizontal gun cabinet made of oak that has 4 locking drawers.  To the average person, it would look like a blanket trunk that typically lives at the end of your bed.  It is made in the USA and comes in both Oak and Maple.  The drawers are lined with velvet to keep the guns safe and keep them from scratching the insides of the drawers.  Very interesting.

Although the search yielded some additional results, most of the pages just had bedroom and gun cabinet on the same page.  Maybe this is an area of hidden gun cabinets that someone could build a new niche?  Probably not!
